Aber 1:16 Tiger II Vol.6 – Rear Fenders is a photo-etched set of rear fenders for a large scale model of the Tiger II heavy tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched brass detail set from Aber in 1:16 scale for the Tiger II heavy tank. The set replaces the rear fenders (the track covers) with fine photo-etched parts at a realistic sheet thickness. It is an accessory, not a tank kit.
The Tiger II (Pz.Kpfw. VI Ausf. B, Königstiger) was a German heavy tank of the end of the Second World War, armed with the 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71 gun. The rear fenders covered the tracks above the rear of the hull and in combat service were often twisted or missing, which photo-etched metal can imitate faithfully.
Separate the parts from the fret, make the bends on a photo-etch bending tool and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The fenders can be slightly deformed for a realistic look. Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a primer; an airbrush is recommended.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The kit of the tank, glues and paints are not included in the package.
