An injection-molded plastic kit from Hasegawa in 1:24 scale. It depicts the small Japanese Suzuki Jimny off-road vehicle of the JA11-5 generation from 1995. The model faithfully reproduces the characteristic boxy shape of the body and a well-worked interior, and soft tires and decals are usually included. The chassis is arranged so as to suggest the movement of the axles off road.
The Suzuki Jimny of the JA11 series is a compact off-road vehicle of the kei class, popular for its agility and its capability away from the road. The JA11-5 version from 1995 rounded off this series and is powered by a small gasoline engine of around 660 cc. Despite its small dimensions the vehicle keeps genuine off-road equipment with a low-range transfer case and a sturdy ladder frame.
Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic, and we recommend spraying the body with a primer and painting it with an airbrush for a smooth surface. The boxy shape of the Jimny comes out well with cleanly finished edges and a gloss paint job, and chrome and black details liven up the overall impression. Set the decals on a gloss base so that no silvery edges appear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
