A plastic kit of the Japanese Mitsubishi Fuso T951N heavy truck with an aluminum box body (aluminum van) in 1:32 scale from Aoshima, out of their range of heavy trucks. The model captures the flagship tractor of its day with a long wheelbase and offers well worked-out detail on the chassis as well as the box.
The Fuso T951N was among the top heavy trucks from Mitsubishi. It was powered by a V8 engine and the vehicle often had a pair of fuel tanks. The aluminum van box body served for carrying goods in an enclosed space; in Japan such machines are also popular as the basis for decorated trucks.
A large model rewards building in subassemblies: the frame with the engine and axles, the cab and the box separately. The aluminum box can be rendered with metallic paint or metal shades, and the chrome parts should be fitted at the end. A subtle patina brings the tires and the chassis to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
