Techmod 1:32 Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib is a sheet of waterslide decals in 1:32 scale for a model of the British Typhoon fighter-bomber. It is an accessory for finishing a model, not a kit.

A set of water-release decals from the Polish manufacturer Techmod in 1:32 scale, intended for a plastic model of the British Hawker Typhoon fighter-bomber in the Mk.Ib version. The decals serve to mark a model that is already built, painted and coated with a gloss varnish. The printing is done on a thin transparent carrier film, so that once dry the markings blend well with the surface of the model.
The Hawker Typhoon came about as the intended successor to the Hurricane and was powered by the massive Napier Sabre H engine. It did not prove itself as a high-altitude fighter, but it excelled at very low levels, and so it gradually became one of the most effective attack aircraft of the Royal Air Force. The Mk.Ib version was armed with four cannons and carried unguided rockets or bombs under the wing. Machines of this version were deployed above all against ground targets and wore striking recognition stripes, which were meant to prevent them being mistaken for enemy aircraft of a similar silhouette.
Before applying the decals, spray the model with a gloss varnish — on a matte surface air is trapped under the carrier film and a light frame appears around the marking. Cut the part out close to the artwork, dip it in lukewarm water and wait until the film releases by itself; only then slide it onto the model with a brush. Blot the excess water away with a paper towel and push the bubbles toward the edge. On large flat areas water is enough; on riveting and in places with engraved lines use a decal softener. Finally seal the model with a matte varnish according to the character of the surface of the real subject.
This is a separate set of decals. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
