R.A.F. 3-inch 60 lb rockets (1:32) are a resin set of aerial armament for detailing models and for dioramas in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of unguided aerial rockets of a British type in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an armament accessory to be carried under the wings of fighter-bombers and attack aircraft. The set usually contains the rocket bodies themselves and the launching rails, which will bring any build or diorama scene to life.
From the Second World War onward, the British unguided aerial rocket of three-inch caliber became one of the most widespread RAF weapons for attacks on ground and naval targets. In the variant with a high-explosive head weighing sixty pounds it served against fortifications, vehicles and lighter vessels. The rockets were carried, for example, by the Hawker Typhoon, the Bristol Beaufighter and the Fairey Swordfish.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Apply a primer before painting; an airbrush is ideal.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
