GasPatch 1:32 WWI airspeed indicator is a fine accessory representing a period aircraft airspeed indicator for the cockpit of First World War fighters. It serves to raise the realism of the cockpit; it is not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This small accessory from the Greek manufacturer GasPatch represents a period aircraft airspeed indicator in 1:32 scale. It is intended to be fitted to the instrument panel or the cockpit of a Great War fighter model and markedly raises the fidelity of the pilot's position. It is not a kit of an airplane in its own right.
Airspeed indicators were among the basic instruments of First World War aircraft cockpits. They told the pilot the speed of flight and were usually placed on the instrument panel or on a strut in the field of view. The accessory captures the characteristic shape of the period instrument in reduced scale.
Clean the part, cut the casting block off if there is one and fit it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bring out the dial and the body of the instrument with contrasting painting and a fine dry brush; the glazing can be suggested with a drop of gloss varnish.
This is a cockpit detail accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
