The shade FS 35622 is a very light, faintly saturated blue that on a large area looks more like a bluish gray. It comes into its own on the lower surfaces of aircraft, on the inner faces of covers and everywhere the surface is meant to blend with the sky. The standardized number makes it possible to track the shade down safely among other paint makers as well.
The foundation is a nitrocellulose lacquer, and you will not manage to thin it with water. The thinner has to come from the same range, and the ratio runs at around one to two parts to a part of paint. The package holds 10 ml and the dried layer stays hard and smooth.
On the lower surfaces a heavy wash does not pay off. A gentle highlighting of the panel lines with a slightly darker blue looks more convincing than a hard contrast.
Pale blues are among the shades where the evenness of the spraying decides more than the exact tone. Uneven coverage shows on them at once, whereas a deviation of half a step in the shade will go unnoticed.
