Begomol is a kit of a walking assault machine in 1:35 scale from the small-run production of the MAiM brand. It belongs to the author range Front46, which the manufacturer builds on an invented, military-flavored science fiction world. The name states that the package also holds figures of an officer and a driver, so the model can be built with the crew right away. Check the contents once it is delivered against the enclosed list.
The real subject is invented. Begomol is a design of the manufacturer within the Front46 range, not a machine that ever came about or was committed. The shaping combines the look of the land equipment of the middle of the twentieth century with a walking undercarriage of the kind that belongs to the genre of alternative science fiction. The designation referring to the Soviet side is part of this fiction and serves to place the model in the world of the manufacturer, not as a reference to an existing type. Front46 at the end of the name is the designation of the model range, not additional information about the real subject.
The parts of small-run kits tend to be cast in resin or printed on a 3D printer. Wash them in lukewarm soapy water before gluing, cut the casting blocks and print supports off with a saw or with cutters and level the surfaces with abrasive paper, best of all wet and with your airways protected. They are glued with super glue, and on load-bearing joints a two-part epoxy helps. Always try the joints of the walking undercarriage dry first: they determine the whole pose of the model and once the glue has set they can no longer be moved. Apply a base coat before painting, ideally sprayed. Because this is a fictional machine, you are not bound by a period camouflage scheme; intricate surfaces benefit from edge highlighting, a wash into the recesses and dust pigments on the lower parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
