This product is neither a classic waterslide decal nor a casting: it is a self-adhesive texture sheet with the motif of a carpeted floor intended for the interiors of dioramas in 1:35 scale. A floor that would otherwise be laboriously painted and shaded is laid in a few minutes and the result is visually uniform over the whole area.
The surface has to be smooth, dry and free of grease. Measure the area out, trim the sheet with a sharp modeling knife to the plan of the room, peel the backing off and press it down gradually from one edge so that no air is left under the film. Cut the openings and the corners to fit on the spot, because a carpet pattern is easy to work with and small joins are lost in the finished scene.
In living rooms, offices, hotel corridors and command rooms, anywhere you are building a cutaway building, a room box or a vignette with furniture in 1:35 scale. It fills out superbly with the MAiM interior props, such as furniture and domestic appliances; in a post-apocalyptic scene all you have to do is dust the carpet with pigments and damage it with tears.
