An accessory set of photo-etched parts for a model of the Chinese ZSL-92 wheeled infantry fighting vehicle in 1:35 scale. The metal parts are an order of magnitude thinner than plastic and they replace it on the fenders, the covers, the grilles, the tool holders and the small external equipment. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an addition to a finished plastic model.
The ZSL-92 is a Chinese wheeled armored vehicle with a 6x6 layout, derived from the WZ551 development line. It serves as an amphibious vehicle for carrying and supporting infantry, and in the combat version it carries a turret with an autocannon and a coaxial machine gun. Vehicles of this family are widely used by the People's Liberation Army and in export forms they serve with other armies as well. For modelers the subject is interesting for its combination of a wheeled chassis, a floating hull and a modern look that is still not common in European display cases.
Cut the parts out with a scalpel on a hard surface, and never break them out. Make the bends in a bending tool or between two blades. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue applied with the tip of a wire; an excess will flood the fine detail, so use as little as possible. Apply a primer before painting, otherwise paint will not hold on the metal. Wheeled vehicles get dirty differently from tracked ones: the dirt is thrown up from the wheels onto the sides, so work the dust and mud from the bottom up and concentrate them in a band above the fenders.
This is an accessory set, not a kit of the vehicle. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
