A kit of the German small tracked motorcycle tractor, the Kettenkraftrad, completed with figures of a three-man crew. The model is rendered in a stylized way and as a snap-fit kit, so the basic assembly can be managed without glue or paints; for the full effect, however, we recommend gluing and painting the model. The figures are designed to be poseable and can be used with other equipment in 1:35 scale as well.
The Kettenkraftrad was a unique hybrid between a motorcycle and a tracked vehicle: the front wheel steered while the tracked running gear provided the traction. It was created as a light tractor able to move in heavy terrain and to tow light loads and weapons. It was used on all fronts and became known for its exceptional cross-country ability.
Thanks to the snap-fit construction the model is accessible to less experienced builders as well. The joints can be secured with a drop of glue. The figures will stand out with careful painting of the faces and uniforms; the tractor itself is best painted in the typical German shades of gray or dark yellow with light dust weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
