The SUU-16A 20 mm gun pod with an exposed gun compartment, wing mounting, F-4 Phantom II (C, D) is an add-on part in 1:32 scale from the Reskit brand. It is intended to complete a model under construction, not for a build on its own.

Reskit has prepared the SUU-16A underwing pod for a build of the Phantom in the C and D versions, in the version where the gun compartment is exposed. The item falls among accessories: it does not make up an aircraft on its own and counts on you already having the base kit. According to the name the part is made by 3D printing.
The open variant makes sense where you want to show more than a smooth body, during the loading of ammunition, in a scene with ground crew or on an aircraft being prepared for its next takeoff. Real pods of this type gave the early Phantom firepower for close combat, because it lacked a built-in gun, and they appeared most with units committed over Southeast Asia.
Exposed areas need more careful preparation than closed ones: first rid the part of grease, then spray a light primer and only then the metal shades. Darken the interior space with a thin flowing shade and, by contrast, go gently over the edges with a dry brush. Before you start painting, try dry how the part sits against the pylon and fill any play only once the primer is sprayed.
The package contains neither paints nor glue.
