The Merkava is an Israeli main battle tank with an unconventional front-mounted engine, which raises the protection of the crew. The Mk.III version brought a more powerful gun and modernized armor; the basket at the rear of the turret and the hull is a characteristic feature of this equipment, used for carrying gear. The set suits a build of a model of this tank.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife and form the mesh walls of the basket with a photo-etch bending tool for clean right angles. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The finished basket can be filled with period gear and weathered with a wash and pigments for the dust effects of desert service.
