A conversion set in 1:35 scale intended for rebuilding a model of the Israeli heavy armored personnel carrier Nagmashot into the early form of the Nagmachon. It is not a complete vehicle kit - the set supplies only the parts that distinguish the two versions and assumes that you obtain the basic model separately. A conversion of this extent also means cutting into the plastic of the basic kit, so expect sawing and sanding.
Both the Nagmashot and the Nagmachon are based on the chassis of the Centurion tank, which Israeli workshops rebuilt after its retirement from tank service into a heavily armored personnel carrier for engineer and combat tasks in built-up terrain. The Nagmachon differs from the older Nagmashot above all in the treatment of the upper part of the hull - a superstructure around the commander's and gunners' positions that gave the crew cover while firing from behind the outline of the vehicle. The early version has this superstructure lower and simpler than the later form in which the vehicle is usually portrayed.
First try the whole set dry on the basic hull and only then cut off the plastic parts that have to give way. Rinse the resin castings in lukewarm water with detergent to remove any residue of mold release agent - without that the paint will peel off. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc and level the surface on abrasive paper laid on glass, so that it seats flat. A joint between resin and plastic holds only with cyanoacrylate glue; secure larger parts with a wire pin. Sand resin wet and with your airways protected. Once finished, unify the whole model with a primer, otherwise the different substrates will show in the shade.
The set is a conversion accessory, not a kit in its own right. It is supplied unpainted; glue, paints and the basic model are not included in the package.
