A self-adhesive sheet with a printed wooden parquet motif from the MAiM brand in 1:35 scale. Parquet is the basis of every living interior, a drawing room, a bedroom, an office or a hotel lobby, and it is the warm tone of wood that can give a scene a civilian, inhabited character. A printed texture replaces the laborious gluing of individual strips from veneer or plastic while keeping the regular figure of the pattern.
Smooth and degrease the surface, measure the sheet out to the plan of the room and, once the backing is peeled off, press it down from the center out to the edges. Run the cuts along the joints between the strips so that any join merges into the pattern. The edges at the walls can be covered with baseboard trim from a plastic section.
Parquet suits a satin clear coat, which imitates the faint sheen of waxed wood; knock the worn paths back to matte instead. With oil paints you can suggest wear around doors and furniture, and in ruins add rubble, dust and traces of damp. The texture works excellently with the furniture and the pictures of the MAiM range.
The exact figure of the pattern and the size of the sheet are not stated here.
