Toro Model 1:35, Polish Rosomak wheeled carrier, volume 1 is a set of waterslide decals with the markings of this armored vehicle. It is not a model but an addition to a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set from the Polish maker Toro Model devoted to the markings of the Rosomak wheeled armored personnel carrier. The box holds waterslide decals intended for a model in 1:35 scale; the model itself and the paints are not part of it. The designation volume 1 means that this is the first part of a range which the manufacturer follows up with further sets carrying different schemes.
The Rosomak is an eight-wheeled armored personnel carrier taken into service by the Polish army. It is based on the design of a modern wheeled carrier developed in northern Europe and is built in Poland under license. It combines high mobility on both paved and unpaved roads with ballistic protection for the crew and the dismounts. The vehicle exists in several versions differing in armament and superstructure, and it has proved itself in overseas missions, where the vehicles received add-on armor and an extended set of markings.
Apply the decals over a gloss surface. Once the model is painted, spray it with a gloss clear coat, cut the motif out close to the edge and dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds. Once it releases, move the decal into place, blot off the excess water and use a decal softener; on the broken-up surface of the carrier, with its rivets, hatches and add-on panels, this is essential, otherwise the motif will not settle. Let it dry thoroughly and only then varnish the model with a matte coat and add the weathering. If the decal goes on after the basic weathering but before the final flattening, the result looks more natural.
The set holds only decals. A model, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
