A CMK resin conversion set in 1:35 scale. It modifies a plastic kit of the Renault UE tracked carrier into a vehicle with an armored body in the late standard. The early standard has an item of its own. The kit is not included in the package.
With conversions involving a large body, most of the work arises not during gluing but while finishing the seams. The transition between resin and plastic practically never meets perfectly, and once it disappears under paint it cannot be put right. Proceed by first filling the joint with thicker cyanoacrylate glue, letting it cure and sanding it wet with abrasive paper of a higher grit; coarse paper creates grooves in resin that are then hard to smooth away.
Before you start painting, spray a thin layer of base only on the worked places. A single-color surface reveals remains of grooves and unfilled seams that are invisible on light resin. Make any repairs at once and repeat the base. Only then even the whole model out, as on finished paint every later intervention shows.
A conversion set is an accessory for a kit, not a stand-alone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
