This is a photo-etched metal detail set from the Polish manufacturer Aber in 1:35 scale, not a tank model. The basic set (vol. 1) brings fine photo-etched parts that replace the simplified plastic features from the box and raise the fidelity of a Pz.Kpfw.VI (P) heavy tank build. It forms the first stage of detailing, which further parts of the range follow on from.
The Pz.Kpfw.VI (P) was the version of the Tiger heavy tank that came out of the Porsche design, the VK 4501 P. It carried an 88 mm gun in a turret set in the forward part of the hull. The rival design won through into series production of the Tiger, and the Porsche chassis were later used among other things for the Ferdinand tank destroyer.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and bend them on a bending tool or along a ruler. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); degrease the metal and spray it with a coat of primer before painting. Pick out the plates and rivets with a wash and fine pigments.
This is a detail accessory, not a tank model. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
