An injection-molded plastic kit of the projected jet aircraft Blohm & Voss BV P178 in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Bronco. It is a new mold with injection-molded plastic parts and a separate sprue of clear parts. The package holds a decal sheet with proposed, fictional marking schemes, because the aircraft never got beyond the project stage.
The BV P178 was a German design project for a single-seat jet dive bomber of the end of the Second World War, powered by a single Junkers Jumo 004 turbojet. The design allowed for carrying a bomb and for optional rocket-assisted takeoff boosters. The aircraft was neither built nor used and stayed on the drawing board. The model therefore represents a so-called project machine, and its markings are of a proposed nature.
Cut the parts out carefully and clean up the fuselage joints thoroughly. Paint the cockpit and set it in place before closing the fuselage. Given the project nature of the aircraft you have a fairly free hand in choosing the color scheme, though we recommend convincing shades matching period materials. The camouflage is best sprayed with an airbrush, and the decals go on over a gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
