Side skirts for the King Tiger (Tiger II) is an Aber photo-etched detail set in 1:35 scale. Thin metal side skirts for the Tiger II heavy tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set from the Polish manufacturer Aber in 1:35 scale. It holds the side armor skirts, the Schürzen, for the German Tiger II heavy tank, known as the King Tiger. It replaces the coarser plastic skirts with true thin photo-etched sheet complete with brackets. It is not a vehicle model but an accessory that sharpens the build.
The Tiger II was a German heavy tank of the second half of the Second World War with massive armor and an 88 mm gun. The side skirts on their hanging rails protected the upper part of the running gear against anti-tank weapons.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a knife on a cutting surface and make the bends along the grooves with a bending tool. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer. Individual skirts can be bent or damaged for a realistic battle look.
This is a photo-etched detail set, not a vehicle model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
