This is a detail accessory, not a kit. The set contains brass photo-etched railings for a model of the British heavy cruiser HMS York in 1:350 scale. They replace the disproportionately thick plastic railings and give the decks a fine, true-to-scale look.
HMS York was a British heavy cruiser of interwar design that served in the Second World War. Her roomy decks and superstructure are an ideal surface for fine photo-etched railings.
Cut the railings to the lengths you need, fold them at the corners over a sharp edge and glue them with tiny drops of cyanoacrylate. Once painted, the contrast of the fine stanchions stands out. Work with tweezers and in good light.
The accessory requires a base plastic kit, which is not included in the package.
