A set of twelve turned metal barrels in 1:350 scale from the Polish maker Aber. They replace the plastic barrels of the dual-purpose guns of 100 mm caliber (the M1930 L45 type) on models of French ships. It is a detail accessory, not a model of a ship.
Dual-purpose guns of 100 mm caliber of the M1930 type served as the anti-aircraft armament of French warships. Turned metal renders the thin profile and the muzzle of the guns markedly more faithfully than injection-molded plastic.
Cut the plastic barrels off and replace them with the metal parts. Square up the ends, degrease the brass and roughen it lightly, then glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Lay down a primer suitable for metals before painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
