A set of turned brass barrels for the King George V and the Prince of Wales (1:350, Aber) for models of British battleships. A metal detail accessory replacing the plastic barrels of the gun armament.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the Polish maker Aber contains turned brass barrels in 1:350 scale for models of the British battleships of the King George V class, above all the King George V and the Prince of Wales. It is not a model of a ship but an accurate metal accessory that replaces the plastic barrels and gives the guns a sharp and faithful profile.
The battleships of the King George V class carried ten guns of 356 mm caliber (14 inches) arranged in two quadruple and one twin turret, completed by a dual-purpose secondary artillery of 133 mm caliber. The Prince of Wales became famous for her fight with the Bismarck and for her later sinking in Southeast Asia in 1941.
You cut the plastic barrels off carefully and replace them with the brass ones. Glue the metal with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and degrease the joint beforehand. We recommend spraying a primer and a shade matching the British naval camouflage.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
