Painting masks in 1:43 scale intended for the AVD kit. The designation of the subject is corrupted in the name, but the kind of goods stays unambiguous.
Responsibility details are not available.
It is a set of painting masks for a model in 1:43 scale. The masks are stuck onto a part, paint is sprayed over them and once they are lifted off, the original surface stays beneath. That creates a sharp edge of the kind that is hard to achieve with hand-cut tape in this tiny scale.
On small car and truck models the masks come into play above all on the glazing, where they separate the clear area from the frame, and on the color separation of two shades of the body. The exact breakdown of which part belongs to which mask is given in the manufacturer's instructions - the contents of the sheet are not set out here.
Wash and degrease the surface before sticking them on, otherwise the mask will not seat and paint will run under it. Lay the mask on and press the edges down with the blunt tip of tweezers or a toothpick. Apply the paint in thin layers at right angles to the edge of the mask, not at a slant under it. Take the masks off shortly after drying, while the layer is still flexible.
For builders of models in 1:43 scale who want clean edges without laborious cutting. Before you buy, compare the code with the kit you are building, because the designation of the subject is corrupted in the name. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
