A resin accessory from Aires for 1:48 scale. This is not an airplane model but an aftermarket set that holds finely cast resin wheels with a faithful tire and hub structure, together with masking film for a clean separation of the color of the tire and the rim.
The Arado Ar 196 was a German shipboard reconnaissance floatplane of the Second World War period. Besides its floats it also had landing gear wheels for handling on land.
Wash the mold release agent off the wheels and cut off the casting blocks, then bond with super glue. Stick the masking film on, spray over it with the color and peel it off once dry. The wheels can be treated with slight sagging for the impression of load.
The plastic kit itself and paints are not included in the package.
