The set holds photo-etched parts for the landing gear area of the North American F-100C Super Sabre model in 1:48 scale - typically bracing and detail in the landing gear bays, leg covers and other fine elements of the landing gear. It adds depth to the landing gear section that plastic cannot render.
The North American F-100 Super Sabre was the first American fighter able to fly at supersonic speed in level flight. The F-100C version added the ability to carry armament and to refuel in flight. The Super Sabre served with the USAF and with several other air forces.
Separate the parts carefully with a sharp knife or with photo-etch shears, make the bends along the engraved lines, ideally in a bending tool, and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or epoxy. Degrease the surface before painting; photo-etched parts hold paint better once a base primer has been sprayed on.
