Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Polish PZL W-3 Sokol multipurpose helicopter in the W-3T version, in 1:48 scale from Answer, in the configuration for the Polish Navy. The kit offers a well-worked cabin with glazing and the rotor system, and it usually comes with photo-etched parts and decals for several naval finishes. The Sokol is a modern machine and makes an interesting, less common subject.
The W-3 Sokol is a twin-engine medium multipurpose helicopter designed and built by the Polish company PZL; its name means falcon in Polish. It first flew at the end of the 1970s and series production began in the middle of the 1980s. The machine is used for transport, training, rescue and other tasks and is flown by both military and civil operators. The naval version is adapted for operation over the sea and carries out liaison, transport and support duties for the naval forces.
Paint and fit the cockpit and the cabin before you close the fuselage, because the glazing reveals the interior. Build the rotor head and the blades of the main and tail rotors carefully and symmetrically. Shape the photo-etched parts gently and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. For the naval version choose the matching finish with its prominent markings and add restrained wear and fine panel-line emphasis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
