Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure to be painted, not a model. This resin casting from the Czech brand Aerobonus (Aires) in 1:48 scale captures a Soviet aircraft mechanic (ground personnel) of the Warsaw Pact period. The figure serves to bring the airfield scene around an aircraft model to life and is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
During the Cold War a numerous ground personnel kept the aviation equipment of the Eastern Bloc serviceable. Mechanics in working overalls took care of the maintenance, the replenishment and the preparation of fighters and attack aircraft before takeoff. A figure of a mechanic in a working pose gives an airfield diorama scale, life and credibility.
Wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply primer before painting; an airbrush will handle the working overalls, a brush the face and the tools. A wash and oil shading will bring out the folds and the grime of the working clothes.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin casting. Glue, paints and a model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
