Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure of a Soviet pilot with a life vest from the Cold War period in 1:48 scale from Aerobonus (the Aires range). It is not an aircraft model but an accessory figure meant to be painted and placed beside a model or in an airfield scene. The life vest points to a setting with the naval-oriented Soviet machines of the postwar era, or those operating over the sea.
The pilot wears the flying suit, helmet and life vest of the day, as the Soviet Air Force used them during the Cold War. The figure complements Soviet jet fighters and attack aircraft of the 1950s to the 1980s and gives both the model and the diorama a sense of scale and a story.
Wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the joints with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the figure before the final assembly; primer works well, along with matte shades for the flying suit, a strongly colored life vest and the face and harness brought out with a dry brush and glazing.
The figure is supplied unpainted and cast in resin, meant to be glued together and painted. Paints, glue and a display base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
