A resin figure of an American USAF fighter pilot standing on a ladder, in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory from Aerobonus (a line of the Aires brand), meant to give an aircraft model or a diorama a human scale and a scene beside the machine. This is not the aircraft model itself.
The figure is shown in period flying gear at the moment of climbing into the aircraft or out of it. It helps to round out the atmosphere of a scene and naturally brings home the size of the model. The exact make-up of the gear and the accessories follows a realistic portrayal of a jet pilot.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A primer and shading work well for a convincing rendering of skin and gear; protect your airways while sanding.
The figure is supplied unpainted and without glue. The paints and the base model are not included in the package.
