A resin detail set of a pair of British Lewis Mk.II aircraft machine guns in 1:48 scale from the Greek manufacturer GasPatch models. This is not an airplane kit but a set of sharply cast resin weapons with which you replace the simplified machine guns of plastic biplane models and gain faithful detail.
The Lewis was a British air-cooled light machine gun of .303 caliber (7.7 mm) which in its aircraft version was widely used as the observer's flexible defensive weapon and on hinged mounts above the upper wing of fighters. The aircraft forms differed from the ground ones above all in modifications to the cooling jacket and the ammunition feed; the Mk.II is one of the variants of that family.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting gates off and bond them with super glue. Apply primer and paint with an airbrush; bring out the fine relief of the jacket and the pan magazine with a wash and a dry brush. Sand with respiratory protection.
The detail set does not hold an airplane model, glue or paints. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
