An injection-molded plastic kit of the British destroyer HMS Ivanhoe in 1:500 scale from the Polish manufacturer Mistercraft. It is a smaller, easily handled ship model that suits even a small shelf. The package holds plastic parts, decals and black-and-white instructions with a painting scheme. The assembled model measures approximately 20 cm and suits a build with the hull as a whole as well as placing on a stand.
HMS Ivanhoe was a British I-class destroyer of the 1930s in Royal Navy service. This class represented the typical interwar ocean-going destroyers with both gun and torpedo armament, capable of escort, patrol and minelaying. Ivanhoe was used in the opening months of the Second World War and was lost in 1940 in the North Sea. The ships of this class were among the mainstays of the Royal Navy at the start of the war.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies (hull, superstructures, armament). Apply a primer before painting and apply the paints with an airbrush or a brush. On warships, discreet weathering, accentuation of the deck and a hint of oxidized metal work well. Glue small parts such as the guns and the masts carefully so that the lines stay clean. The model can be set on a stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
