An injection-molded plastic kit of the American nuclear aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68) in 1:500 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. It is a large model with a richly detailed flight deck and a number of shipboard aircraft and helicopters. The package holds a one-piece hull, decals, a display stand and a set of aircraft to fill the deck. The model faithfully captures the massive silhouette of a flagship of the US Navy.
USS Nimitz is the lead ship of the class of the same name of American nuclear aircraft carriers. These ships are among the largest warships in the world and serve as floating bases for air wings able to operate anywhere in the world. Nimitz carries dozens of combat and support aircraft and helicopters and has been a symbol of the projection of American naval power from the 1970s to this day.
Glue the plastic with a thin cement and build and paint the aircraft separately in subassemblies. Apply a primer before painting and lay the colors on with an airbrush. Bring the flight deck to life with markings, wear and traces of service; the small aircraft can be finished with a brush and decals. Set the finished aircraft on the deck only at the end of the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
