Decals for the Mi-17 (the Hungarian machines 706 and 707) 1:72 from the Hungarian brand HAD models are a sheet of waterslide decals in its own right with the markings of two Mi-17 helicopters of the Hungarian Air Force. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of waterslide decals from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models which brings the markings of two particular Mi-17 helicopters operated by the Hungarian Air Force, carrying the tactical numbers 706 and 707. The sheet is meant to supplement or replace the decals from the box and makes it possible to build a model with the markings of a particular machine instead of a generic scheme.
The Mi-17 is a developed and export version of the medium transport helicopter of the Mi-8 family, with more powerful engines and a reworked drive train. It is a twin-engine machine with a five-blade main rotor, clamshell rear doors and a roomy cargo cabin, used to carry people and materiel and for airborne and support tasks. Hungary operated these helicopters over a long period and individual examples differed in their paint and in small details of their markings.
Go over the area under the decal with gloss clear coat first, as a matte surface leads to silvering of the edges. Cut the designs out as closely as possible, soak them in warm water and let them release from the backing of their own accord rather than by pulling. Slide them onto the surface over a thin film of water and press the surplus out with a soft cloth. At fuselage protrusions and engraved lines a softener helps, as it draws the decal into the detail. Once it has dried completely, go over the model with a matte or semi-gloss varnish so that the edges of the sheet disappear.
This is a sheet of decals in its own right, not a kit. The model, paints, varnishes and softeners are not included in the package.
