This is not a ship model but a detail accessory. It is a set of miniature parts capturing the German quadruple 20 mm anti-aircraft weapon, the Flakvierling, in 1:700 scale from the Japanese maker FineMolds. The set serves to replace or supplement the anti-aircraft armament on models of warships in this small scale and brings markedly finer detail than the parts from base kits offer.
The set holds parts for assembling quadruple anti-aircraft mounts, which are fitted on the decks of ship models. Thanks to the fine detail of the individual barrels and of the mount, the armament looks truer in 1:700 scale. The number of pieces follows the contents of the particular package.
Separate the small parts carefully and clean them up; working with tweezers and a magnifier is in order at this scale. Glue with cyanoacrylate (super glue) in small drops. It is practical to paint the parts separately, with a primer and an airbrush, and to bring out the detail with a dark wash into the recesses. We recommend working patiently and in small subassemblies.
This is an accessory, not a stand-alone model. The ship itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
