An injection-molded plastic warship kit in 1:700 scale from the Trumpeter brand. The model represents the German aircraft carrier DKM Peter Strasser, the planned second unit of her class. The 1:700 scale is the popular naval standard, suited to a display case.
The Peter Strasser was a projected German aircraft carrier of the Second World War period, a sister unit of the better-known Graf Zeppelin. The build was not completed and the ship never entered service. The design reckoned with a flat flight deck and mixed gun and air armament.
Decide whether to build the full hull or the waterline version cut at the waterline. Cut the small parts of the superstructures and the armament away with a sharp knife and glue them precisely with liquid cement; add-on photo-etched railings are a good idea. Spray the hull and the deck with an airbrush and bring them out with a wash and drybrushing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
