The wooden deck for HMS Aurora (1945) in 1:700 scale is a detail accessory from Flyhawk. It is not a ship model but a self-adhesive wooden deck that gives a model of the British cruiser a realistic surface.
Responsibility details are not available.
This detail accessory from Flyhawk serves to render the decks of a model of the British light cruiser HMS Aurora as she was in 1945 realistically, in 1:700 scale. It is not a ship kit but a self-adhesive wooden deck cut from fine veneer, which imitates real plank covering faithfully, including the grain of the wood.
The wooden deck replaces a plastic or painted surface with the natural look of real wood. The accurately cut pieces follow the outlines of the deck and the openings, so the result looks scale-faithful and gives the model a premium appearance.
Degrease the deck of the model first and remove the dust. Lay the pieces down gradually, pressing them home and squeezing the air bubbles out. Trim the edges and the cut-outs around the superstructure with a sharp knife. The wood can be toned gently with a wash and fixed with a flat varnish, which brings out the grain.
This is an accessory for a model, not a ship kit. The base model is not included in the package.
