IBG Models 1:700 HMS Ilex 1942 is a plastic kit of a British I-class destroyer of the Second World War period in 1:700 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British destroyer HMS Ilex as she appeared in 1942, in 1:700 scale from the Polish manufacturer IBG Models. The model captures the typical look of an I-class ship of the Second World War.
HMS Ilex belonged to the British I-class destroyers, versatile escort and attack vessels of the Royal Navy of the late 1930s. During the Second World War these ships served to escort convoys, for anti-submarine protection and for torpedo actions, and were deployed in the Mediterranean as well.
Separate the small parts of the superstructure and the armament carefully and glue them with a thin glue for plastic. You can build the model with the full hull or convert it to a waterline version for a display case or a water base. We recommend a primer, masked camouflage and final washes and dry brushing to accentuate the detail; the small scale rewards careful work.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
