R 3-7 Germany 1933 is a resin kit of early German minesweeping boats (Räumboote) in 1:700 scale from ROP o.s. Intended for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin kit in 1:700 scale captures early German minesweeping and patrol boats of the Räumboote (R-boat) type from the beginning of the 1930s. It is a resin kit intended for experienced modelers; the subjects are boats of the early form designated roughly R 3 to R 7.
The Räumboote were small motor boats of the Kriegsmarine, designed originally as minesweepers. The early units of the first series had a displacement of about sixty tons and were powered by two diesel engines that allowed a speed of around seventeen knots. During their service they carried out patrol, escort, minelaying and sea rescue duties besides their minesweeping role. Thanks to their small size they are a rewarding subject for a waterline build and for a harbor diorama.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and gates carefully and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). A primer, an airbrush and fine washes to bring out the deck and the superstructure are recommended. Small boats come into their own with railings added by hand from photo-etched parts or stretched sprue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
