This accessory is not a kit but a set of eight precisely turned metal barrels from the Polish maker Aber for models of the British battlecruiser Hood in 1:700 scale. The barrels are in the long form for turrets without blast bags.

What it is for

Eight guns of 381 mm caliber in four twin turrets made up the main armament of this famous ship. Turned metal barrels give a model exact geometry, a perfect circular cross section and a realistic weight, and they do away with the parting seams left by plastic.

Use

• Cut off the plastic barrels as the instructions for the base model direct.
• Glue the metal parts on with cyanoacrylate glue.
• Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer.
