HMS Zulu (F18) 1941 is a plastic kit of the British Tribal class destroyer in 1:700 scale from Trumpeter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures a British Tribal class destroyer in her 1941 condition. The hull is arranged as an option: the model can be built at full depth on a stand or as a waterline version (at water level). A finely engraved deck, the superstructure, the gun turrets, the funnels and a decal sheet with the ship's markings are included.
The Tribal class was among the heavily armed British destroyers of the late 1930s with main armament of 120 mm. HMS Zulu was completed in 1938 and in the Second World War served, among other places, in the Mediterranean and on Home Fleet operations. She was lost in 1942.
In small naval scales, thin plastic cement and painting with an airbrush work well. It is best to paint the hull and the decks before the small parts are fitted. The look is picked out by thin photo-etched railings and mast rigging, neither of which is included in the package.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
