An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Hunting Percival Jet Provost T.3/T.3a jet trainer in 1:72 scale from Airfix. It is a modern tooling with a detailed cockpit, a choice of canopy and landing gear position and the characteristic wingtip tanks. The box holds decals for two color schemes. The undemanding and pleasant build will please less experienced modelers too.
The Jet Provost was a British basic jet trainer with side-by-side seating, which served with the Royal Air Force from the end of the nineteen fifties for many decades. The T.3 version and the modernized T.3a were among the widespread training forms, and a whole generation of British pilots trained on them. The fixed wingtip tanks are conspicuous and became a recognition feature of the type.
Use liquid cement on the plastic and finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage up. Trainers often carry bright warning colors and polished metal areas, so apply the paint in thin coats and mask the transitions. Fit the glazing last and mask it in advance. Decide in advance on the landing gear and canopy position that the set offers.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
