A set of die-cut self-adhesive masks from Peewit in 1:72 scale for models of the British English Electric Lightning supersonic jet interceptor in the F.1, F.2 and F.3 versions. The masks follow the canopy framing exactly and make spraying sharp frames easier.
The English Electric Lightning was a British single-seat supersonic interceptor with the unusual arrangement of two jet engines stacked one above the other. It stood out for its exceptional rate of climb and speed. The early F.1, F.2 and F.3 versions formed the backbone of British air defense in the 1960s.
Stick the masks onto clean, degreased glazing on the model and press the edges down firmly so paint cannot creep underneath. Then spray the canopy frames in the airframe color and carefully peel the masks off once the paint has dried. The die-cut shape follows the canopy framing, so the slow cutting of tape with a knife is no longer needed.
It is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
