A decal sheet in 1:72 scale for a model of the American twin-engine medium bomber North American B-25J Mitchell.
Responsibility details are not available.
The B-25 Mitchell is an American twin-engine medium bomber with a high-mounted wing, a pair of vertical tail surfaces and a nose wheel. Version J is the most numerous guise of the type and was built both with a glazed nose for a bombardier and with a solid nose fitted with machine guns for attacks from low altitude. The markings on these machines differed markedly from machine to machine, so the decals will decide which particular aircraft the model becomes.
A standalone sheet of decals in 1:72 scale, that is, an accessory to a kit, not a kit. Which machines and inscriptions it carries and to what extent is given by the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer. Before buying it pays to compare whether the markings suit the variant of nose you are building, because elements drawn for a glazed nose do not fit a solid one.
Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive form; soaked self-adhesive film is ruined beyond recovery, whereas an unsoaked wet decal can be put back into water. With an ordinary wet sheet, cut the element out as close as possible, immerse it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest until it starts to slide freely on the backing paper. The base should be smooth and glossy, otherwise a silvery veil will appear under the film. Draw the water off from under the element with a cloth from the center toward the edges and once dry go over the finished markings with clear coat.
A decal sheet is supplied. The kit, paints, clear coats and softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
