The SIAT 223 Flamingo is a West German light trainer of the 1960s, designed as a conventional low-wing monoplane with fixed tricycle landing gear. It came about in response to the demand for a standard training machine and was used for basic and advanced pilot training. It was also built under license and served with civil and military operators alike.
On an older tool, clean up the flash and the burrs, dry-fit the parts carefully and fill the joints. Glue with thin cement for plastic, use a primer and apply the paint with an airbrush. A small airplane with a large glazed cockpit rewards careful masking and polishing of the clear parts. Gloss varnish before the decals, a matte overcoat at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
