Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a motorcycle in 1:12 scale from the Japanese company Aoshima. The model corresponds to the Kawasaki Z400GP road machine, supplemented in the name by the type designation KZ400M and the year 1982. The 1:12 scale is the standard for motorcycles, so the finished model will fit well into a collection beside other machines. Check the actual contents of the box, the number of parts and the range of decals against the information on the packaging.
At the start of the 1980s the Z400GP belonged to the family of 400-class road Kawasakis, which in Japan made up the most powerful class available to an ordinary rider. The design is typical of its day: an unfaired machine with an angular tank, round shock absorbers and lightweight cast wheels. That is exactly why it is sought after today as a subject for modelers who collect Japanese naked bikes of the turn of the 1970s and 1980s.
Plan the build in assemblies: first the engine and the frame, and only then the fairing parts and the tank. The engine and the exhausts will appreciate a dark wash that picks out the finning and the joints. Spray the tank and the side covers over a primer and finish them with gloss clear coat, because it is on them that a smooth shine is most visible. Leave the chromed parts in their bag until the last moment and glue them with a small amount of cyanoacrylate glue or with a cement for clear plastic, so that the chrome does not lose its shine. Apply the decals over a gloss base and seal them with matte or semi-gloss varnish, according to the surface you are imitating.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
