An accessory set of resin landing gear wheels for a model of the airliner Boeing 777-300 in 1:144 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer Reskit. This is not a model of an airplane; these are replacement wheels with which you improve a kit from ordinary production.
On models of airliners the landing gear is one of the most exposed places: the massive multi-axle main gear of the Boeing 777 is visible at first glance. Compared with the split kit parts, resin castings offer finer drawing of the wheel rims and a one-piece tire with no seam along its length, so the laborious cleaning up of a glued joint in the middle of the tread falls away. Even in the small 1:144 scale the landing gear then looks believable and of one piece.
First wash the castings in warm soapy water so that no residue of mold release agent stays on them. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a saw and sand the mark down lightly. Resin is glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Prime the parts before painting; paint the rims and the tires separately and even the tire out with a matte shade of dark gray, which looks more natural than pure black.
This is an accessory set: the base model of the airplane is not included in the package.
