Responsibility details are not available.
This set of Peewit masking stencils makes painting a model of the British Bristol Buckingham in 1:144 scale easier. The precisely cut stencils protect the clear cabin parts while the camouflage is sprayed, so the canopy frames come out with sharp, clean edges without laborious hand-lining. At such a small scale it is an aid that saves a great deal of time and nerves.
The Bristol Buckingham was a British twin-engined aircraft of the Second World War period, powered by Centaurus radial engines. It was created as a day bomber in the B Mk.I version, but it reached service at a time when other types were already doing its job, so a number of machines flew in the form of the fast courier C Mk.I. Today it is among the less well known, and all the more interesting, modeling subjects.
The surface of the model has to be clean and dry. Lift the stencil with tweezers, lay it on the part concerned and press the edges down lightly with a small spatula or a toothpick. Once the paint has been sprayed, remove the masks before the coat is fully cured - that reduces the risk of tearing the edge of the finish. Any small gaps in coverage can be touched in with a fine brush.
The offcuts and the smaller discs from the sheet come in handy for covering exhaust outlets or small areas that are to stay in the base color. So do not throw the used sheet away straight away.
