A set of Ferrada FR4 wheels for models of cars in 1:24 scale. It is an accessory, not a kit of a car: you replace the wheels from the box with a precisely rendered aftermarket design. On models of cars it is precisely the wheels that are the detail which changes the overall impression most, as a stock wheel turns a build into an illustration from a brochure, whereas an aftermarket wheel turns it into a particular car with a style of its own.
The real subject. Ferrada Wheels is an American brand of aftermarket wheels aimed at luxury cars, SUVs and builds in the stance style. The FR4 design belongs to its range focused on a deep, so-called concave dish, where the spokes step markedly inwards and the rim stays high at the front. The number in the name corresponds to the diameter of the subject in inches, that is, a 19-inch wheel, a size typical of large sedans, coupes and SUVs.
Separate the parts carefully from the carrier structure and sand the cut surfaces flat. Degrease them and apply a primer, and only then the covering color. On concave wheels a combination of a darker center and a polished or contrasting rim looks best; the surest way is to spray the whole wheel in the color of the spokes and to go over the rim with a brush in a metallic color, or to mask it with narrow masking tape. Leave the metallic and chrome shades until the end, as they are hard to spray over and to mask. Before gluing, check whether the hole fits the axle pin of your kit.
It is an accessory for a model, not a kit of a car. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
