Masks for a model of the British Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib fighter-bomber in the early version with side doors, 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib was a British single-seat aircraft used mainly against ground targets, carrying bombs and rockets to them. Its powerplant was a Napier Sabre H-24 engine. Early machines are recognized by the framed cockpit with side doors that opened like the doors of a car; the version therefore became known under the name Car Door.
A sharp transition between the glazing and the color of the frame is one of the features that everyone notices first on a finished model. The set brings masks for a Typhoon Mk.Ib model in this version in 1:24 scale, prepared in their final shape, so there is no need to cut and measure tape. Which areas the set covers is given in the manufacturer's instructions supplied with the set.
Wash and degrease the surface before applying the masks. Lift the mask off its backing with a sharp point, seat it in place and smooth the edges with a toothpick so that paint does not run under them. Spray in thin coats and let each one set. Once spraying is done, take the masks off before the paint has fully cured, or they come away from the edge less easily. If paint does creep under after all, the overrun can be carefully removed with a stick or a cotton swab moistened with thinner, following the paint maker's instructions.
The aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
